living in a bubble
There are days when it becomes apparent that I consciously choose to live in my own warped version of the real world.
A world in which the word “integrity” means something. Where people who follow the rules and work hard are rewarded. And where those who break the rules and take shortcuts face the consequences of their actions.
A world in which people are open-minded, sensitive, and accepting of each other. Where people think before they speak. And where racism and homophobia have become obsolete.If being part of the real world as an adult means popping this bubble that I am living in, I’m not sure I’m ready to grow up.
